introduction:
Whoever follows the events of the Syrian revolution from its first days must search to find out its facts in the visual or written media in order to find out the truth about what is happening and new developments every minute. Finding the truth was difficult for traditional workers in the field of international and local media to provide the truth due to the regime’s confiscation of freedom of the press and media in the Syrian arena. At the same time, the revolutionaries – in that period – did not have literal media mechanisms and tools other than kidnapping some footage to document it using their mobile phones, and then uploading it to the Internet, which led to the death of thousands of them in the regime’s death and death detention centers. Indeed, the price of a modest media product for a minute was the life of that revolutionary. Despite these harsh conditions, the revolutionaries continued to produce media content that exposed the regime’s crimes, and became documents that bear witness to crimes against humanity that benefit international judicial bodies of all specializations today.
The phenomenon of the birth of widespread revolutionary media:
This phenomenon was created out of events bearing the imprint of the Syrian revolution, stained with the blood of martyred media professionals. But those who remained alive were able to systematize and develop their media production until it rose by creating its own standards that broke the monopoly of ideolized and suspicious global media platforms, and this phenomenon imposed itself as a media authority that dealt with news and information, mastered the art of political analysis, and presented facts with credibility and quality.
Media awareness has matured, and the field of media in all its forms is considered one of the most important fields in society today, as audiences depend on the media to obtain important information and news.
Extracts of the Syrian revolution media phenomenon
After the “Syrian National Dome” was formed, it established its media office, which includes a group of media professionals from the various components of the dome and independent figures associated with it.
Most of these media professionals were from the Syrian media who chose to join the ranks of the revolution in order to work to raise the levels of producers of revolutionary media content who joined the revolution without any prior journalistic experience. All of them played the role of teacher and student of knowledge, and they succeeded with distinction in qualifying creative cadres in the media of the revolution today.
Today, teachers and their qualified students have stepped up – as volunteers – to bear the responsibility of news, news, and political analysis with all credibility and honesty.
Conclusion:
In a world of political and economic crisis, the Syrian revolution was born from the innate awareness of the concept of freedom and dignity, and there were only the mouthpieces of the tyrannical regime’s media at that time. Suddenly, the revolution produced events full of information and news, and the revolution had to create a media space that played this role. Therefore, the foundations of a revolutionary media were built that would rise to the level of this revolution. The team of journalists, with their small numbers, sought to be responsible and professional in developing a new generation of media professionals to provide accurate and reliable news and information. The Syrian National Dome Platform “Qaws” is proud to gather in its media office a group of distinguished journalists as volunteers who always strive to provide high-quality and credible news to the Syrian, Arab and international public. This is the basis that contributes to the development of society and the promotion of dialogue in the contemporary world.
